Follow these simple tips for success in caring for your tropical epiphyte orchids;

Orchids come from tropical climates which means wet in summer and dryer in winter.

They are mainly epiphytes and need super drainage and will require lots of air movement around the roots.

A spray bottle is your best friend for delivering the right amount of water in dryer months and also to add some fertiliser at 1/4 strength or use a fertiliser specifically for orchids.

In winter they can take lots more sunshine.

Don’t try to grow orchids in super shady wet spots you will fail.
